The 2025 results of the “World’s Most Influential Scientists List,” prepared by Stanford University based on the Elsevier database to measure scientific impact, have been announced. Seven academics from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design at Bartın University achieved remarkable success by being included in this prestigious ranking with their outstanding performances in their respective fields.
The faculty members who made it to the list and their rankings are as follows:
Prof. Dr. Osman Gençel (Civil Engineering) – Ranked 1st in Türkiye and 51st in the world in the field of Building and Construction.
Prof. Dr. Abdullah Cahit Karaoğlanlı (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) – Ranked 8th in Türkiye and 1174th in the world in Applied Physics.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azmi Erdoğan (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) – Ranked 24th in Türkiye and 3204th in the world in Applied Physics.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derviş Özkan (Mechanical Engineering) – Ranked 65th in Türkiye and 5393rd in the world in Materials Science.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abid Ustaoğlu (Mechanical Engineering) – Ranked 89th in Türkiye and 4093rd in the world in Energy.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Yaraş (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) – Ranked 128th in Türkiye and 6460th in the world in Engineering.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Çoban (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) – Ranked 150th in Türkiye and 7391st in the world in Energy.
