Accreditation
MÜDEK
Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MÜDEK) is an independent organization that aims to improve engineering education by carrying out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education programs in various disciplines.
MÜDEK was established in 2002 as an independent platform under the name of Engineering Evaluation Board by the Engineering Deans Council (MDK), which consists of the deans of faculties providing engineering education in Turkey and the TRNC, in order to organize and use a detailed program for the evaluation of engineering licenses of these faculties. Evaluation of engineering programs started and became an association in 2007.
Except for MÜDEK administrative staff, all groups that take part in MÜDEK boards, committees, working groups and accreditation evaluation teams work on a voluntary basis for no compensation.
MÜDEK has been a host member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) since 17 November 2006 and a signatory (member) of the Washington Accord (WA) since 15 June 2011.
