Bartın University made a strong appearance at TEKNOFEST 2025 Istanbul, the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival. University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya visited the festival area, closely examining the projects on display and meeting with participants. Rector Akkaya was accompanied by Rector’s Advisor Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Özkan Avcı during the visit.

The event was also attended by the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abid Ustaoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Kurşuncu, along with faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin Alaybeyoğlu, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ümit Demirbaga, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Bayram Dündar, Res. Asst. Şuheda Kaltakkıran, Res. Asst. Şeymanur Arslan, and Res. Asst. Hakan Büyükkatpat. Bartın University students Azzam Al-Mekhlafi, Muhammed Bozan, Yağmur Dinç, and Ömer Asaf Aydemir also represented the university at the festival.

Rector Akkaya visited the booths of the Tunga Saye UAV and Space Camel Rocket teams, which competed as finalists in TEKNOFEST 2025 under the Aviation and Space Club. The teams are advised by Res. Asst. Şuheda Kaltakkıran from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received detailed information about their projects and congratulated the students on their achievements.

Rector Akkaya also toured various stands across the festival area, gaining insight into the activities being carried out, particularly at the YÖK Science Communication booth.

Bartın University continues to support its students and academic staff by actively participating in events that contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
